IRKUTSK, STAZIONE DI IRKUTSK – Scenic reading

The show traces the history of three hundred Friulians who were involved in the construction of the Transiberian Railway between the end of 1800 and the first years of 1900.

A bridge between stories of migrations told through letters and original testimonies, such as the life of these migrants, retracing their journey, their living conditions, their experience but above all their feelings which are very similar in those who are forced to leave today as they were then. A passionate and exciting key, built with great mastery by Alberto Vidon and Angelo Floramo.
Told by Vidon himself and by the Friulian actor Roberto Pagura and skilfully punctuated by the music of the Carantan group, which for almost thirty years has been carrying out research activities proposing and elaborating popular music from Friuli from the 16th century to the present day, also encroaching on the popular repertoire of Northern Italy and Istria, enriching it with music of its own composition.

Historical research, textual elaboration – Angelo Floramo and Alberto Vidon
Reading – Roberto Pagura and Alberto Vidon
Musical commentary – Carantan
