A jazz/swing or jazz/manouche quartet made up of musicians from various musical realities, united by the musical passion for French swing of the 1940s: classics of the gypsy-jazz tradition, a musical genre born in the 1940s in Paris by the gypsy guitarist Django Reinhardt and the violinist Stephan Grappelli in the group Quintette du Hot Club de France.
Over the years the Lune Troublante have also developed an original repertoire that blends the gypsy tradition with a more modern elaboration of great rhythmic and melodic variety and with Italian lyrics. The group is also distinguished by the use of instruments similar in workmanship and type to the original instruments of the time, in particular the amazing Selmer/Maccaferri guitars.
Matteo Sgobino – vocals and guitar; Didier Ortolan – clarinet and sax; Sebastiano Frattini – violin; Alessandro Turchet – double bass.
