A singer-songwriter originally from Tabasco but residing in Mérida (MX), Maria Moctezuma is a multi-instrumentalist and activist with four albums on the market. She is one of the most representative figures of the current Mexican music scene, thanks to her fusion of past and present through rhythms and traditional pre-Hispanic Mexican instruments, creating timeless environments decipherable for everyone. In her show with a loop station, she accompanies her songs with various instruments such as the Pan flute, clay ocarinas (jaguar, bird sounds), conch, seed percussion, and accordion (elements of ancestral culture), blending these with bossa nova, cumbia, jarana, rock, polka, and reggae.
