Monday 1 July<\/strong><\/span>, starting at 9.15 pm, the Austrian group Donauwellenreiter*<\/strong> is expected at the Palazzo Municipale<\/strong> Park<\/strong> in\u00a0Gorizia<\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n

Formed by musicians who have their base in\u00a0Vienna<\/strong>, this quartet has had many positive feedbacks since its debut, both in\u00a0Austria<\/strong>\u00a0and in the various countries visited during its tours.<\/p>\n

Echoes of the\u00a0Danubian music and cultures<\/strong>\u00a0are combined with\u00a0jazz and modern elements<\/strong>\u00a0that contribute to creating the very personal style of the\u00a0Donauwellenreiter<\/strong>, in which stands the voice of\u00a0Maria Crafonara<\/strong>, a singer born in Brunico from the Val Badia family, which ranges from Mozart to the traditional Ladin songs of her land.<\/p>\n

The first three albums brought them to the attention of a specialized audience throughout Europe, until the explosion of the recent album tribute to the great\u00a0Gianmaria Testa<\/strong>, a cult artist in German-speaking countries.<\/p>\n

GORIZIA<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gorizia lies in the point where two important ways of communication that bind the Orient and the Western parts of the world meet. These two ways are called\u00a0Isonzo Valley<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Vipacco Valley.<\/strong>\u00a0The\u00a0Isonzo River<\/strong>\u00a0flows near the city of Gorizia. Gorizia faces on the isontina plain, surrounded by the\u00a0Collio\u2019s hills.<\/strong>\u00a0These hills are famous beause of the fine\u00a0wine<\/strong> production. The famous painter\u00a0Max Klinger<\/strong>\u00a0described Gorizia as a marvellous gateway to Italy. While walking through the town, tourists can breathe a unique atmosphere due to the peculiar meeting of several\u00a0traditions.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n
