On Thursday 4 July<\/strong><\/span> a double date with two bands, one from Ireland and one from Scotland.<\/p>\n

HOODMAN BLIND<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the square<\/strong> of Colle<\/strong><\/span> (Pinzano al Tagliamento) at 9.15 pm there will be an appointment with the Irish Hoodman Blind<\/strong>. <\/span>The young trio from Limerick<\/strong>, in the County of Clare<\/strong>, which is one of the richest in terms of music, was formed in 2016. They immediately inserted their great love for the music of Finland<\/strong> and Sweden<\/strong> in their compositions, that alternate with traditional Irish songs<\/strong>. In these few years they have been able to build a solid reputation, which has led them to perform at the top festivals\u00a0Other Voices<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Electric Picnic<\/strong><\/em>, as well as the\u00a0Kaustinen Festival in Finland<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n

COLLE (PINZANO AL TAGLIAMENTO)<\/strong><\/p>\n

The municipality of Pinzano al Tagliamento is located in the middle valley of the\u00a0Tagliamento river.<\/strong>\u00a0The western part of Pinzano laps the\u00a0Val Cosa<\/strong>, meanwhile the north-eastern part is located in the lower\u00a0Val d\u2019Arzino.<\/strong>\u00a0The geographical position of the territory is of particular naturalistic value. The town is known for its\u00a0bridge over the Tagliamento river<\/strong>, from which you can enjoy a spectacular view. The territory was seriously affected by the earthquake of 1976, subsequently receiving the\u00a0\u201cGold Medal for Civil Merit\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0for the perfectly successful reconstruction and restoration of works of art. Colle is a small town situated on a hill, not far from the confluence of the Arzino river in the Tagliamento, and is two and a half kilometers awaynfrom the chief town. Due to its position, it was the scene of a conflict during the\u00a0Retreat of Caporetto<\/strong>: at that time there was a wooden footbridge over the Tagliamento river, at the height of the hamlet of\u00a0Pontaiba,<\/strong>\u00a0which was used both by the Italians and by the Austro-Hungarians. It houses a small church dedicated to the\u00a0Immaculate Virgin,<\/strong>\u00a0built in 1845 in order to replace an 18th century oratory dedicated to\u00a0San Sebastiano<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0San Antonio.<\/strong>\u00a0In 1964 the church was restored and equipped with a bell tower with three bells.<\/em><\/p>\n

LEWIS McLAUGHLIN TRIO<\/strong><\/p>\n

Meanwhile, again at 9.15 pm in the Piazzetta of the Fountain<\/strong> in Prato Carnico<\/strong><\/span>, the Scottish Lewis McLaughlin Trio<\/strong> will perform. Lewis McLaughlin<\/b>\u00a0is a young folksinger and multi-instrumentalist from\u00a0Leith<\/strong>\u00a0(Edinburgh). Raised in direct contact with\u00a0Scottish musical traditions<\/strong>, he is influenced by\u00a0John Martyn, Bon Iver, Tom Waits<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Dylan<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Live his guitars mix with the accordions and violin of\u00a0Ewen White<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Alastair Hambrey<\/strong>\u00a0in an exciting mixture of traditional songs alternated with new songs and compositions.<\/p>\n

PRATO CARNICO<\/strong><\/p>\n

Prato Carnico is the main town of the\u00a0Val Pesarina<\/strong>\u00a0(Pesarina Vale) area, and typical houses that sometimes share a resemblance with\u00a0venetian palaces<\/strong>, since the\u00a0Venetian Republic<\/strong> used to collect timber from the area for its shipyards, are common in both the town and the surrounding hamlets.
