A duo of brothers rooted in the musical tradition of Lower Navarre, in the northern Basque Country. They practice traditional dance, as they like to say, from the womb and have been touring the world for more than twenty-five years, taking the music of their land from village to village, inside and outside the Basque Country. Their repertoire mixes pieces of ancient origin, such as Basque garaztars, with European dances of various origins (waltzes, mazurkas, etc.) along with their own neo-trad compositions. Completing the trio is Gari Otamendi, a violinist and dancer from Donostia (Gipuzkoa, Euskal Herria), one of the recognized masters of the traditional style.
Through traditional dances, LarreAlde Band shares with the audience a genuine moment of conviviality, where dance becomes a universal language; each journey is an opportunity for new encounters and musical and cultural growth in the exchange between different realities.
