Folkest and its Region

AN INDISSOLUBLE BOND

Bringing culture where the people are

The integration of the cultural and artistic proposal, aimed at cultural tourism, has always been the flagship of Folkest. It is a project of involvement of the regional medium-small municipalities that collaborate through sustainable economic development for the promotion of lesser known territories and communities in Friuli Venezia Giulia region andabroad.

The Folkest artistic project is inextricably linked to the region in which it takes place.
In the early 1980s, Folkest devised a new way to connect and bring music and traditions to lesser-known places, creating connections and cultural growth for Friuli Venezia Giulia and beyond.
The integration of cultural offerings and tourism, aimed at medium- to high-end tourism, has created a strong bond with the region, offering audiences the best in terms of quality and artistic compatibility: from the purest folk to popular and singer-songwriter music, from folk-rock to bluegrass, from early music to jazz and world music.

Folkest Celebration

San Daniele del Friuli

Four days of music, films, meetings, conferences, and seminars: on the stages and in the squares of the historic center, in the magnificent churches of San Antonio Abate and Santa Maria della Fratta, beneath the fifteenth-century Loggia Guarneriana, in the ancient Public Guarneriana Library, in the castle park, in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II and Piazza Carlo Cattaneo, and in the historic public spaces of the city center. San Daniele del Friuli offers audiences, artists, and Italian and international delegates a series of breathtaking venues.
