Alberto Cesa Prize finalists have been selected: the appointment in San Daniele at Folkest 2024
After six selections around the Boot, the musical proposals that will take the stage at Folkest 2024 in San Daniele del Friuli on 7 July to win first place in the Alberto Cesa Award have been defined.
In Arezzo, the Ars Antiqua World Jazz Ensemble from Ferrara won the final (December 7, 2023), San Pietro in Cariano in the province of Verona (January 26, 2024) saw the victory of Vanina Vincent, an Argentinean transplanted in Florence. And again: Miguel Angel Acosta – Argentinean by birth and Turin by adoption – won over the jury in Cervasca in the province of Cuneo (January 27, 2024). While in Loano (January 28, 2024) the Genoese Makadam Zena stood out and in Rome (February 2, 2024) I Trillanti from Ciociaria won. Finally, Trival from Friuli came first at the selection in Codroipo (February 9, 2024) in the province of Udine.
We renew our congratulations to the selected finalists and look forward to continuing this journey that allows us to come across new and stimulating expressions of Folk every year.
