The fascinating sonic universe of Darbar Mantra reaches the culmination of an artistic project that is the elaboration of an original genre inspired by traditional Indian sounds, contaminated by different contemporary musical currents…ambient, experimental, minimalist, fusing rigor and oriental musicality with experimentalism and the search for new sounds. The result is a perfect complicity between Indian classical raga performed with the sitar and a particular sound carpet created by the bass, exploiting a series of delays and a lot of improvisation.
