Born in 2008 from an idea of Marco Tosto -returning after a year of study in Romania- together with some band musicians from the province of Savona, as a klezmer music group, over the years it has evolved into an open musical laboratory, welcoming musicians of different origins passing through and/or residing in the Ligurian capital. In more than fifteen years of activity, the group has pursued a work of research and re-proposition of Levantine oral tradition music, from Eastern Europe to the Middle East. After the first two albums, Sràdicàti in 2014 and Diaspora aLive in 2018, 2025 saw the release of A’ ruga: musical reunions between Albania and Arbëria, a concept album about the imaginary encounter between Albanian music and that of the Italian Arbëreshë communities, a little-known historical ethnic-linguistic minority with a cultural heritage to be preserved.
