WILLOS’

The repertoire is the result of an attentive research work that drew from various sources: some songs come from Stephanie Martin’s great-grandfather, born in Belfast, others are traditional Irish Gaelic songs, others come from the Scottish Lowlands. And not forgetting the ballad which was found in a drawer at the Irish College in Rome, dated 1860. This show sees the collaboration with the famous musician Massimo Giuntini, who plays the  uilleann pipe.

Not only does the mix reproduce the most typical sounds of Celtic music, but it interprets them, composing and producing an original and unique sound, particularly focusing on the Ulster tradition, which has always been the crossroads between Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales.
