ZeroFolk Duo

It was born in the summer of 2023 from the meeting of Luigi Gentile with Manuel D’Olimpio, both polyhedral multi-instrumentalists, who decided to devote their creativity to the creation of a folk music project that would follow the classic expository, contrapuntal and aesthetic form of the Brazilian chôro. A cohabitation of a few months in which the two musicians learned to play instruments specially chosen for their ensemble and wrote unreleased music, led them to the recording of their first album Javalândia, in January 2024. The duo carries out intense concert activity both in Italy and abroad in various settings and situations, while continuing to work unceasingly on the duo’s artistic production.
