Folkest Showcase for international emerging artists in the field of world music is a new section of the festival program. It will take place from 30th of June to the 2nd of July, 2023. On the stage of the Castle Park in San Daniele del Friuli (UD).
8 emerging European artists will be selected by an international jury for the Folkest Showcases, at one of the most important Folk Festivals in Southern Europe.
The selected artists will be seen and heard by international agents, festival programmers, music curators and our festival audience! They will have the opportunity to get feedback from industry professionals, to expand their professional relationships and also to have opportunities to be hired for future performances and participate in Folk Clinics. Folkest Festival and Showcase is a member of UPBEAT – European Platform for Showcases of World Music. Our showcase program is supported by Upbeat, the Friuli Venezia Venezia Giulia Region, Giulia and the Municipality of San Daniele del Friuli.
