This group has marked the history of a genre, with award-winning albums such as Curre curre guagliò, Cerco tiempo and Corto Circuito and thousands of concerts. They were born in 1991 as a direct expression of the Occupied Self-Managed Social Center Officina 99. The following year saw the start of their collaboration with Almamegretta and Bisca, with whom they later formed the supergroup Bisca99Posse. Their first album, 1993’s Curre curre guaglió, also serves as the soundtrack for Gabriele Salvatores’ film Sud. 1994 also saw the birth of the Novenove record label, which works to give space to young emerging voices. Soon after, with Cerco tiempo, they achieved over 80 thousand copies sold, and with the subsequent Corto circuito they even doubled that number. In 2000 they released their last completely unreleased album, La vida que vendrà: in fact, the last album released by the full 99 Posse. At the end of 2001, the 99 Posse went their separate ways, announcing their final disbandment in 2005.
In 2009, they made their return to the stages official, undergoing several personnel changes over the successful years, before stabilizing in the current group.
