Formed as a group of musicians from Lazio region, who find points of sharing and generative strength in
oral tradition music. They draw inspiration from peasant melismas, the endless rhythms marked by a
danced saltarello, as well as the stories of shepherds, to arrange and compose new melodies that integrate
into their territory’s identity. They dig bare-handed into the earth where singing trees grow to support new
musical buds. It’s a journey of history and modernity, evoking Ciociaria, the group’s homeland, with
stories and dances using ancient codes, symbols, and peasant instruments, but with an eye towards world
music.
